Back Painted Glass
Back-painted glass can use various types of flat glass as substrate glass, such as clear float glass, low iron glass, patterned glass, frosted glass, etc. We usually use screen printing to process and produce back-painted glass. Following is the main process:
Making silk-screens and prepare original float glass according to customer's requirements.
Clean the glass in a washing machine and let it dry.
The cleaned glass will be automatically transferred to the screen-printing platform. We need to pour the appropriate amount of prepared paint evenly on one edge of the screen. The paint is then printed onto the glass surface using a silk-screen printing device.
The paint on the surface of the glass is solidified through a closed heating channel, and the channel temperature is usually set in the range of 160℃-200℃. The baking time is generally about 5 minutes. If the baking time is too short, it will affect the adhesion of the paint layer, and if the time is too long, the paint layer will change color.
The heated glass is returned to normal temperature by air cooling. At this point, the paint layer has firmly adhered to the glass surface.
This step is mainly to add a protective paint layer to the first paint layer, thereby improving the scratch resistance and corrosion resistance of the back paint.
Back-painted glass has a rich variety of colors to choose from. In addition to stock products, we also provide professional color customization services. Customers only need to provide samples and we will process them according to your requirements.
Our back-painted glass products have high water and corrosion resistance, and the back-paint layer will not fall off after years of use.
