Acid Etched Glass
By immersing the glass sheets vertically in a pool of acid solution to realize the effect of surface etching. Base on different product requirements and effects, the immersing time range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, then take out the glass sheets and clean away residual acidic solution with flowing water. After the glass sheets hanging to dry, the entire processing is completed. If we only need single surface deal, the other surface must be covered with a special chemical resistance film or tape to protect against acid etching. In the mass production process, we usually temporarily bond two sheets of glass together, and then seal the four sides of the glass with special films or tapes to prevent acid solution from penetrating from the edge to the inner surface of the two sheets of glass.
This method usually places the glass on a horizontal automatic spray line for single-sided acid etching. Automatic production makes the entire fabrication process simple and smooth.
Whole sheet of glass etching: This is a relatively simple processing method in terms of procedures. Just acid etching on one or both surfaces of whole sheet of glass.
Partial etching:By using chemical resistance films, special tapes or acid resistance paint to protect partial surface of glass sheet from acid solution. This allows us having a variety of designs or patterns to select.
In addition, acid etching process can be applied on surface of tinted glass, thereby a variety of colors are available.
