Cameroon's construction sector is currently experiencing a transition toward sustainable urbanism. In cities like Douala and Yaoundé, the intense solar radiation and high humidity levels create a critical need for energy-efficient glazing. Traditional glass often fails to provide sufficient thermal insulation, leading to excessive reliance on HVAC systems.
The local market is increasingly shifting from basic clear float glass toward specialized deep-processing solutions. There is a growing demand for materials that can reduce heat gain without compromising natural light, making solar-control technologies essential for the region's commercial hubs.
Furthermore, the scarcity of local high-tech deep processing plants means that Cameroon relies heavily on imported precision glass. The integration of ar glass and specialized coatings is becoming a priority for high-end government and corporate projects seeking international LEED certifications.
